Mind's Ear

Scott Metcalfe has been recording music of all styles on-location since 1993. Project have ranged from orchestra and opera for local and national NPR broadcast to chamber and choral music for CD and download releases, as well as recordings with rock, jazz, folk and world music ensembles. Clients choose Scott for their work because of his background that includes conservatory musical training and years of experience in recording engineering, as well as a reputation for establishing and maintaining a congenial atmosphere for successful collaboration throughout the duration of a project.

Mind's ear operates a multitrack, high-resolution system that includes multitrack backup for safety along with a large microphone inventory well suited for precision capture of acoustic performances.

Recordings has been released on many labels, such as Naxos, Albany Records, CRI, Arkay Record, Centaur Records, and many others.
